Confirm the hardware-only control path.
This project does not include firmware in the source. The circuit itself provides the required behaviour.
How to connect
- Match every controller label to the circuit view and source pin map.
- Join grounds before signal wires when separate low-voltage supplies are used.
- Keep motors, relays, pumps, and other loads on a suitable driver and external supply.
Common mistakes
Reversed VCC/GND, board-label versus GPIO-number confusion, missing common ground, and charge-only USB cables.
Troubleshoot
Disconnect loads, continuity-test one path at a time, then test with a current limit.
Software preparation
No IDE, board package, library, or firmware upload is required for this project.
If you add a programmable controller as an extension, document its pin map separately.
How to upload code
The original design is implemented entirely in hardware, so proceed after verifying the circuit and supply.

Project overview
Project build noteThere are many fire alarm circuits provided across a variety of websites. However, you may find a straightforward and low-cost DIY for a fire alarm that uses a thermistor on this website. Where a thermistor is utilized within the fire alarm system to act as the temperature sensor. The thermistor operates using the same mechanism as the LDR (change their resistance with change in heat where LDR change their resistance with change in light fall on it).
The entire thermistor-based fire alarm circuit is constructed and assembled around the thermistor (TH1), the timer IC (IC1), and the driver transistor for both of these components. The astable multivibrator oscillator that is used in this circuit is the timer IC, which is denoted by IC1, and it oscillates in the audio frequency region. The two transistors T1 and T2, which are responsible for driving the IC timer (IC1). In order to produce sound, the output from pin 3 of IC1 is routed through transistor T3 and then into a loudspeaker. The frequency of IC2 can be set by adjusting the values of the resistors (R5 and R6) and the capacitor (C2). When the thermistor TH1 reaches its operating temperature, a channel with low resistance that extends positive voltage to the base of the transistor is made available. In addition, the collector of transistor T1 is linked to the base of transistor T2, which thus supplies a positive voltage to the reset pin 4 of integrated circuit IC1. The thermistor circuit used in fire alarms is able to function across a broad input power supply voltage spectrum, from 6 to 12 volts.
